Privacy policy

We take your privacy, and especially that of children, very seriously. This website is made for parents. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. In short: no ads, no tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

What we collect and why

• Email sign-up (free picture books, audio waitlist): your email address and, if you give it, your first name. Optionally your language and your child’s age group (e.g. “3–4”), only if you tap them. We use this to send you the picture book and occasional emails about new Tako stories. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Visitor statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits anonymously, without cookies and without creating personal profiles.

Service providers

• Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA) stores our email list and sends our emails. Data may be processed in the USA; Kit uses standard contractual clauses to protect it.
• Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) hosts this website and delivers it securely and quickly. Technically necessary data (e.g. IP address) is processed briefly to deliver the page.
• ManyChat (USA) sends the automatic Instagram message when you comment a keyword on one of our posts.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep data

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply write to us.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority (in Switzerland: the FDPIC; in the EU: your local authority).
